Anita Klein was commissioned by Edition Vulfovitch, Stockholm, to produce two large editions of linocuts. Each linocut was to comprise 8 colours in an edition of 150 prints. Anita hand cut 4 pieces of lino for each print, the separate coloured pieces needing to be inked individually and put together like a complex jigsaw puzzle for printing. Some of these pieces were large and wrapped around others, but many were small, even tiny like a dot of red for lips which had to be fitted in, without colour contamination, and registered perfectly with previous printings.

Sanju Mathew and Anita worked together to proof the prints then Sanju printed 200 of each to allow for artist's proofs and any problems during printing. After printing each successive piece of lino, a week's drying time was needed before overprinting with more colour, so achieving the finished editions within a short timeframe was a logistical challenge. The finished linocuts are available exclusively through Edition Vulfovitch in Scandinavia and Germany. A few artist's proofs are available from Anita.
